It’s good to be back.
We’d waited more than three years to throw another holiday party, and based on the turnout, it seems the TimelyText family was ready to reunite for another great evening of fellowship and networking in Raleigh.
The evening wouldn’t have been possible without Breanna McGovern and her team at Poppyseed Market, who put together a perfect plan and took care of every detail. We’re also thankful for Lindsay Aikman Catherman, who made us all look great with her event photography and headshots!
Here’s a photo we love, because it represents everything awesome about the holiday party.
Here, our old buddy Alan Senzel — a technical writer with more than 35 years of experience — is having a conversation with Sarah Greenberg, who recently moved to the area and is working to get her content writing consulting business off the ground.
Above all, we pride ourselves on connecting people, and it had been so long since we could watch those relationships building in real time.
For many, it represented the first opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues who had previously only existed as an avatar with an email address or face in a Zoom meeting.
We weren’t sure what to expect in putting this together after so long apart. Quickly, those concerns disappeared as the room quickly filled with smiles and laughter.
We missed those little moments of connection so much, and we can’t wait to see all of you again.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait nearly as long this time! We’ve got a celebration in the works, in honor of TimelyText’s 20th anniversary providing top instructional designers, technical writers and other corporate communicators across North Carolina.
For now, enjoy Lindsay’s photos!

I’m a storyteller!
Exactly how I’ve told stories has changed through the years, going from writing college basketball analysis in the pages of a newspaper to now, telling the stories of the people of TimelyText. Nowadays, that means helping a talented technical writer land a new gig by laying out their skills, or even a quick blog post about a neat project one of our instructional designers is finishing in pharma.
