Sensus, a TimelyText customer, made significant strides in helping grant wishes for children with life threatening conditions last Monday.
The company held its 4th annual Charity Golf Classic tournament at North Carolina State University’s Lonnie Poole Golf Course, raising $55,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Since the first tournament in 2013, Sensus has raised more than $179,000 for charity, and helped Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina grant the wishes of hundreds of children a year.
Over one hundred golfers showed up to sponsor and play in Monday’s tournament, representing various companies and local businesses from the Triangle.
Ronnie Duncan once again proudly represented TimelyText, which has been a sponsor of the Charity Golf Classic for all four years.
“It was a gorgeous day to raise money for Make-A-Wish of Eastern North Carolina,” Ronnie said. “I had a great time playing. Thankfully, the other players in my foursome carried me and we finished with a 58, just 2 strokes from winning the team prize. But most importantly, the tourney raised over $55,000. That’s awesome and will pay for numerous wishes to be granted.”
Ronnie and the TimelyText team look forward to next year’s tournament and the continued effort to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

I’m a storyteller!
Exactly how I’ve told stories has changed through the years, going from writing college basketball analysis in the pages of a newspaper to now, telling the stories of the people of TimelyText. Nowadays, that means helping a talented technical writer land a new gig by laying out their skills, or even a quick blog post about a neat project one of our instructional designers is finishing in pharma.
